1. 大气氮沉降遥感估算理论

开展了基于遥感监测数据估算无机氮沉降的研究,深入探索了利用OMI传感器观测的NO2柱浓度和IASI传感器观测的NH3柱浓度估算全球陆地大气无机氮干、湿沉降的方法,构建了基于遥感资料估算无机氮干、湿沉降模型。
具体地,研究的贡献主要包含四个方面:
(1)构建了全球陆地NO2和NH3浓度垂直方向上分布模型(多项高斯函数)。卫星监测的NO2和NH3数据为柱浓度数据,缺乏垂直方向上的浓度分布廓线信息,基于GEOS-Chem模型输出的三维NO2和NH3浓度数据建立了NO2和NH3廓线模型。
(2)发展了基于卫星观测数据估算无机氮干沉降的方法,详细地验证了卫星估算近地表无机氮浓度的精度,进而结合模拟的干沉降速率估算得到了全球陆地无机氮干沉降。基于遥感估算的方法弥补了模式基于排放清单模拟结果的空间上的不确定性,提升了估算的空间分辨率。
(3)提出了一种基于遥感数据估算无机氮湿沉降模型(混合效应模型),利用遥感监测的混合层NO2和NH3柱浓度和降水量数据,估算了全球陆地生态系统的无机氮湿沉降。
(4)系统地评估了全球陆地生态系统在热点区域的硝氨组分构成和无机氮沉降的时间变化趋势。研究结果为定量评估氮沉降对生态系统的影响提供了定量依据,也为相关部门制定生态环境保护政策提供了科学依据。

2. 农业氮循环与氮排放估算理论

研究团队基于多源地理空间数据(包括农田施肥、畜牧业养殖、遥感活性氮浓度等)和区域统计数据,建立了自下而上的农业氨排放计算方法,开发了全球近四十年(1980-2018年)的长记录农业氨排放数据集。研究发现从1980年到2018年,全球农业系统(包括农田和畜牧业)氨排放量增加了78%,其中农田氨排放量增加了128%,畜牧业氨排放量增加了45%。全球三种主要作物(小麦、玉米和水稻)和四种主要动物(牛、鸡、羊和猪)占氨排放总量的70%以上。该研究首次在全球尺度量化了主要作物和动物类型对农业氨排放的贡献,回答了目前农业系统氨的主要排放源,对准确认识全球农业氨污染提供了重要数据支撑。

兰州大学氮循环团队与中国农业大学、斯坦福大学、北京大学、南京大学、中国科学院华南植物园、中山大学、中国海洋大学和南京农业大学的学者合作,在国际著名综合学术期刊Proceedings of The National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America(PNAS)发表了题为“Exploring global changes in agricultural ammonia emissions and their contribution to nitrogen deposition since 1980”的研究成果。兰州大学资源环境学院刘磊研究员为论文第一作者,刘磊研究员与中国农业大学刘学军教授为共同通讯作者。该论文是研究团队近五年关于农业氨排放与大气氮沉降研究的集成性成果。
